Alchemy House is a living temple of spiritual growth, eros, and communal practice — a bridge between peak experiences and everyday life.

You've felt it. That version of yourself: open, embodied, connected to something real. You found it at a festival, in ceremony, during a retreat. And then you came home. Alchemy exists because that state doesn't have to be a vacation. It can be where you live.

At the core of Alchemy Society is a residential temple in Oakland's Ivy Hill neighborhood — a beautifully restored 1896 mansion housing 18 residents devoted to weaving love and freedom into the fabric of daily life. Shared meals, house ceremonies, rituals that honor both the mystical and the mundane. This is the beating heart of an emerging temple culture.

We hold that you do not have to abandon your individuality to belong. Instead, we cultivate a group heart — collective intimacy that arises when each person stands in their own truth rather than smoothing it over. Conflict is welcomed as a doorway to deeper intimacy. Clear agreements around consent and boundaries create a strong container, inside which a creative, playful, erotically alive, kink-friendly community can flourish.

Commitment to individual and collective practice is the spine of the house. Residents show up for themselves and for one another — through shared rituals, weekly house meetings, feedback culture, and ongoing emotional and spiritual work. We prioritize growth over comfort, self-responsibility over blame. What we cultivate together naturally overflows into offerings, events, and service to the wider world.

The house is also fertile ground for what you're here to create.

If you carry gifts — in facilitation, bodywork, ceremony, teaching, movement, art — and you're looking for ground to offer them from, this is that. The upstairs temple space is a canvas for communal gatherings. The on-site session room holds 1:1 offerings. The community itself is a warm first audience: people already in the work, hungry for what practitioners in their midst are developing. Many residents find that living here accelerates their practice and their offerings in ways that years of isolation couldn't.

Beyond its residents, the house opens as a temple to a wider circle — through public events, workshops, and gatherings. Whether in structured ritual, emergent temple flow, or the simple business of dishes and laundry, we orient toward heart-centered living, shadow work, and co-creation.

For those who feel the resonance: Alchemy House offers not just a place to live, but a sanctuary to practice, remember, and come home to yourself — between the retreats, after the ceremonies, in the ordinary days that turn out to be anything but.
